Women Health

I am not a doctor – so I can’t help you with any medical advises. For these you will need to consult your doctor. But you will find (on the bottom of each page) medical articles on which I based my information. My advise is that after you read the information I presented – to print the references and have a discussion with your doctor.

While I can’t help you medically, I am a certified Life Coach and Professional Engineer (PEng). So I can┬ácounsel and encourage you in taking the best decisions in your personal life.

I am delving in this topic for two reasons: first I am a woman, second there is so much involving women health compare with men health.

Women by the God/nature have a very complex body structure. Simplistically put: men natural hormonal and immune changes are minor through days and months from puberty to death; women are going through a natural cyclic hormonal and immune system change every month, plus an even worst time through perimenopausal and menopausal years. For women is like a full hormonal and immunitary assault at all the times until in late menopausal years.

A woman is going in one (1) month through what a man may go in a life time.

Daily and monthly variations are too minor to be consider from more than theoretical view.

And what I find more disturbing is that medicine seems to ignore most of the time these facts. Half of the cycle between periods all women have a immune compromised body. Treating a infection, inflammation or disease needs to take in consideration these facts. I am still to see the day when medicine will recognize and incorporate these facts. I see so many times women called “hysterical” just because their symptoms seem to fluctuate sometimes wildly. If a doctor will take in consideration the very basic fact that a woman body is in continues transformation from very strong to very weak and back to strong again – than all these fluctuations of symptoms will make total sense. And diagnosing and treating a woman will be done properly. The fact that these basic notions I too many times ignored – is really very upsetting. Doctors take a oath. And is very very very sad that some of them are not only ignoring it but are doing a lot against it. I have nothing against medical profession or doctors – but to trash a human being in suffering – like that – because you decide to ignore the God/nature facts; I find it totally unacceptable under any circumstances. Even one instance that happens — and is one too many. If you don’t have the knowledge to treat that person just admitted and that person will find another doctor. But to denigrate without any base a person just because God/nature made her body constitution to fluctuate so wildly through a span of a month, every month – is beyond any excuse.

Here is the Hippocratic Oath that every doctor in this world takes:

I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:…
I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.
I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.
I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug.
I will not be ashamed to say “I know not,” nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient’s recovery.
I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. Above all, I must not play at God.
I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person’s family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.
I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.
I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.
If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.

These being said, let’s delve in the medical facts and see why is so important to talk and remind your doctor that needs to treat a woman both as a strong as well as a person with immune compromised system and in full hormonal swing.
